FAMILY Groups

Following Jesus was never meant to be done alone. The New Testament is filled with scripture that calls us to unity and togetherness as one body. Here at Awaken Church, community is about living a life connected to other believers. It’s about being a family that is learning to create culture. It’s the way we disciple each other into learning what it means to believe like Jesus and obey the new command—to love each other. Click here to see all our current Family Groups.

Children's ministry

At Awaken Church, we believe there is no “junior Holy Spirit,” but our children hear and serve the same Holy Spirit we all do. Our mission is to help our children create a foundation that will allow them to live desperately, and passionately for Jesus in every part of life.

We are committed to providing a dynamic children’s ministry experience that is fun, safe, creative and supports the overall vision of Awaken Church – empowering people to create healthy culture.

Awaken Nursery – infant-2 years old
Awaken Preschool – 3 years old-kindergarten
Awaken Elementary – 1st grade-5th grade

Before you drop off your kids:

• Check in is at 8:45a for 1st Service & 10:45a for 2nd Service

• Make sure they have used the bathroom.

• Give them a hug and encourage them to participate.

Student ministry (6th-12th grade)

We are gathering every Wednesday, here at the building, 7pm.

We have one vision: awaken students to “know who they are” in Christ, and reshape their culture. We believe that when you know who you are, you know what to do. Students learn the foundational truth of who Father God is, build healthy relationships, and influence those around them.

music ministry

The Awaken Music Ministry is motivated by three core values. First is intimacy; we believe that what we do on Sunday mornings should be the overflow of a dynamic relationship with the Father cultivated during the week. Our second is creativity; we recognize that creating culture is our birthright, and that sharing our souls through the things we create is powerful and world-changing. Our third is community; we weren’t made to do life alone, and we are able to be our best selves when encouraged, supported and challenged by those around us. We desire that our team members learn how to incorporate these values not only into their musicianship and offerings on Sunday mornings, but into their everyday as well.

The Awaken Music team serves Sunday mornings and rehearses every Thursday at 7:00pm.

YOUNG ADULT ministry (18-25 YO)

We’ve watched as culture has tried to force young millennials to accept generalizations and stereotypes as their identity. It’s our vision to give young adults tools to rewrite those identities and find new, practical ways to walk out their purpose in the everyday. We want to equip every young person to cultivate community—a group of people who see them, who know them, and who can remind them of who they are.
