We desire to be a people who is always learning. The word disciple comes from the greek word mathetes. The root word means “the mental effort needed to think something through.” So by definition, a disciple is someone who never stops learning.
These classes are designed to help you deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in spiritual maturity, and become fully equipped to live out your faith in every area of your life. Whether you are a new believer or have been walking with the Lord for many years, these classes provide a structured environment where you can learn, grow, and connect with others on the same journey.
Purpose
We believe that discipleship is more than just learning about God; it is about becoming more like Him. These classes will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and community you need to grow in your faith and live out your God-given purpose.
Who Should Attend?
Everyone is welcome to join our Discipleship Classes! Whether you are new to the faith, seeking to refresh your spiritual walk, or looking to take on a membership / leadership role within the church, these classes are for you.

Classes Structure
Culture Class—limited to 45 people (Hosted by Pastor Adam & Brooke)
Overview: This introductory course covers the core values of Awaken Church, the basics of Christianity, including the pathway to becoming a member in our church.
Topics Covered: Church, Community, Doctrinal beliefs, Basics of Christianity.
Supplies Needed: You, your Bible and a pen
Duration: 4 weeks
Financial Class—limited to 15 people (Hosted by Steven Anderson)
Overview: This course is focused on “How To Manage Your Money” by Larry Burkett: An in-depth Bible study on personal finances. This will be a class that shifts culture within your home—If you can get ahold of your finances, you can get ahold of your future.
Topics Covered: Financial Disciplines, Practical Application, Understanding Wealth, Stewardship.
Supplies Needed: You, a pen and the “How to Manage Your Money” workbook (cheaper if you purchase it from Amazon)—LINK for book. If you want to pick it up at the class, cost is $18 for the workbook.
Duration: 4 weeks
Marriage Class—limited to 26 people
Overview: This class equips your marriage or future marriage with tools that help you succeed in your relationship. “Healthy Couples fight for connection. Unhealthy couples fight for the need to be right.”
Topics Covered: Healthy Communication, Sex, Conflict Resolution
Supplies Needed: You and your spouse, a notebook, and a pen
Duration: 3 weeks

Interactive Learning: Our classes are interactive, combining teaching with discussion, group activities, and practical application.
Personal Growth: As you progress through the classes, you will see tangible growth in your faith and your ability to live it out daily.
Mentorship: More experienced believers will be available to mentor and guide you throughout your journey.
